2010年第40週の10月03日(-10月09日)から第42週の10月23日までの226件のインフルエンザのうち、新型インフルエンザは25件で、インフルエンザA(H3N2)は67件で、インフルエンザA型未分類は、74件で、インフルエンザB型は60件だった。

2009年第40週10月05日-10月11日から、現在までの、見張り番検査体制では、検査された1万7110件の風邪インフルエンザヴィールスのうち、検査された分類された1万6232件(16'232)のインフルエンザA型のうち、99'6%の1万6174件(16'714)が、新型インフルエンザだった。同じく、診断目的の風邪インフルエンザヴィールス検査体制では、9万1265件(91'265)の風邪インフルエンザのうち、7万9248件(79'428)が、新型インフルエンザだった。これに新型インフルエンザの可能性の高いインフルエンザA型分類未定の1万1203件(11'203)を加えると79'428+11'203=90'631件となる。
抗原検査の結果、3353件が、新型インフルエンザで、9件が、風邪A(H3N2)7BRISBANE/10/2007/(h3N2)で、35件が、A(H3N2)A/PERTH/16/2009(H3N2)型で、19件は、風邪B型/BRISBANE/60/2008型で、5件は、風邪B型/FLORIDA/4/2006型だった。

抗原検査の結果、3353件が、新型インフルエンザで、9件が、風邪A(H3N2)7BRISBANE/10/2007/(h3N2)で、35件が、A(H3N2)A/PERTH/16/2009(H3N2)型で、19件は、風邪B型/BRISBANE/60/2008型で、5件は、風邪B型/FLORIDA/4/2006型だった。

この報告書の10ページの図12(FIGURE 12)の2008年、2009年、2010年の風邪インフルエンザ感染確認患者の年齢構成を見ると、2008年と、2010年は、よく似ているが、2008年は、0ー4歳の風邪感染者が、異常に高く、2008年は、60歳以上から、少しずつ増えて、70歳からぐっと増えて、2010年は、歳を取るに連れて風邪感染率がすこしずつ減っていく。2009年は、55歳以上からの風感染者が、急に減ってゆき、30歳以下の若い世代の風邪感染患者が、10歳から、24歳を峠(ピーク)に感染率が非常に高い。だから、このいんふるえんざ感染患者年齢構成表から分かることは、新型インフルエンザは、普通の風邪インフルエンザより、34歳以下の若い世代に感染者が多く、60歳以上の老人の世代には、風邪感染者が少ない。だから、60歳以上のひとには、新型インフルエンザに対して、免疫があるのが分かる。
オーストラリアでは、2009年05月から、今までに、合計 4万1715件(41'715)の新型インフルエンザが、検査確認された。[これにインフルエンザA型未確認で、新型インフルエンザの可能性が濃厚な同数のやく4万0000件(40'000)を加えると、やく8万5000件位にはなるだろう。筆者のとがみよしひこの注。]
2010年に18件の新型インフルエンザ感染死亡者を含めて、今までに、オーストラリアでは、合計 207人の新型インフルエンザ感染確認死者がでた。[新型インフルエンザ感染死者は、感染者のうちの、1000人に付き1人くらいだから、逆算すると、新型インフルエンザ感染者は、最低 20万0700人くらいには、なるだろう。]
この期間には、見張り番病院の報告によると、先週に比べると、風邪インフルエンザ入院患者は、減少して、18人の風邪インフルエンザ感染入院患者がでて、そのうち、13人は、新型インフルエンザ感染入院患者だった。12人の集中治療室入院患者が出た。この期間に、3人の15歳以下の子供たちの風邪インフルエンザ感染重症患者が出た。
11ページの表、3(TABLE 3)のオーストラリアの、2009年から、2010年09月24日までの、新型インフルエンザの重症指標の表を見ると、2009年中の新型インフルエンザ感染確認患者は、3万7636人(37'636)で、平均年齢は、21歳。風邪感染入院患者は、感染確認患者の13%の4992人(4'992)で、平均年齢は、31歳。集中治療室入院患者は、入院患者の14%の681人で、平均年齢は、44歳。感染死者は、191人で、平均年齢は、53歳。やっぱり、新型インフルエンザの感染死者は、季節風邪インフルエンザと同じように、老人がおおいようだ。やはり、老人にも、風邪インフルエンザ予防注射をするべきだろう。若い世代は、体力と、体の抵抗力が強いので、免疫がなくて、新型インフルエンザに感染しやすいけれど、感染死亡を免れるくらいの抵抗力は十分にあるようだ。
WHO世界保健機構は、もはや、世界的な新型インフルエンザの大流行は、終焉に向かっていると、報告している。2010年08月01日現在、せかいでは、1万8449人(18'449)の新型インフルエンザ感染確認死者が報告されている。[未確認の感染死者を含めると、世界では、最低 20万0000人から、25万0000人(200'000ー250'000)の新型インフルエンザ感染死者がいるだろうし、多くて50万0000人(500'000)には、感染死者がいるだろう。チリでは、最近風邪感染報告が、増加しており、ほとんどは、季節風邪のインフルエンザA/H3N2である。
