All indicators have returned to baseline values observed outside the winter season and influenza virus A (H1N1) 2009 is found sporadically.

● Less than 1% of samples were positive by week 14 for influenza A (H1N1) 2009.

● No serious case of influenza A (H1N1) in 2009 has been hospitalized in week 15. A total of 1,334 severe cases were reported since the beginning of the epidemic.

● No deaths related to influenza A (H1N1) in 2009 has been reported since the last newsletter. In total, 312 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the epidemic.

Territory French ultramarine

● In all of these areas, the epidemic is over.

International

● In Europe, influenza activity is low. The pandemic virus is detected sporadically.

● In the rest of the world, the pandemic influenza situation remains largely unchanged.

This bulletin is the last of the season unless exceptional event, the newsletters of influenza surveillance will resume in week 40-2010
