Visits to family doctor and primary emergency services fell by more than one million during the first quarter of this year for the first time in Catalonia, which represents a decrease of 8.8% in the overall activity of the Catalan Institute Health. In particular, inflows to the GP decreased by 7.4%, the 13.6% of pediatric emergency and 4% did. The realignment has structural and cyclical reasons. On the one hand, this year there was no epidemic of seasonal flu, which was confused with the flu in late 2009.
